Funding Success from UK Screen Council

We are pleased to announce that we have been successful in a funding bid from Screen Yorkshire from the Digital Film Archive Fund to deliver a project aiming to give wide spread public access to screen heritage and evaluate its public value. Partnering the project are NHS Wakefield District, Wakefield MDC, Kinsley & Fitzwilliam Neighbourhood Project and One to One Development Trust.

National Tender awarded

The National Centre for Early Music One to One Productions is delighted to be awarded the tender from the National Centre for Early Music to create their new website. The award-winning centre of excellence for music making of all kinds, established conference and recording venue is situated in York and attracts some of the world’s finest artists in the fields of early music, jazz, folk
and world music. The new site will be available from September 2009.

Film Launch

Training for Health, our latest DVD for NHS Wakefield District was premiered at the Health Trainers Regional Celebration at Magna Science Adventure Centre in April. The film is set in the Wakefield District and gives an overview of the work of Health Trainers, the support from partnership organisations, stories of personal development and the impact both on Health Trainers and their clients.

Life Check film commission

We continue our partnership with NHS Wakefield District with the commission of a new film to document the new national initiative NHS Life Check, a new online service offering health advice and support. Filming began at the launch event with local celebrities in Wakefield Centre.

Commission of 2009 Director of Public Health’s Report

Following on from the success of the film ‘Insight into Inequality’ The Director of Public Health’s annual report 2008, we are very pleased to be commissioned to produce the 2009 annual report on film. The focus of the film this year will be on the wellbeing of children and young people.

Harewood Estate website launched

Harewood Estate website

We have now completed the new Harewood Estate website which features fantastic resources about the Estate as well as a comprehensive directory of commercial and residential properties to rent. The Estate surrounding Harewood House in Yorkshire has over 4000 acres of countryside and has a nationally recognised conservation programme including the restoration of historic buildings as well as the protection and development of wildlife habitats and parkland.

Dreaming Methods' 2002 collaboration "Inside: A Journal of Dreams" by Judi Alston and Andy Campbell is featured in the current issue of bleuOrange - a journal of multimedia/ hyperliterature - translated into French by Sandra Dubé. The piece features alternative pages and dream sequences not found in the English version and can be viewed at full screen.
